Respect for Intellectual Property

WayHow respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on WayHow infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent with the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the infringing material: The URL(s) or other specific identification of the content you claim is infringing.
  3. Your contact information: Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Statement of good faith: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Statement of accuracy: A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was wrongfully removed due to a DMCA notice, you may submit a counter-notification with:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its former location
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number
  5. A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party

Repeat Infringers

WayHow maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We may also, in appropriate circumstances, disable access to or remove content that infringes copyright.
